Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across multiple locations in the U.S. You'll develop moderately to highly complex schedule and cost baselines and monitor progress against plans.

In this role you will collect monthly data, analyze variances, maintain risk reserves, and communicate findings through standardized reports to stakeholders. You will implement financial controls and forecast techniques while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience managing service projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs.
• Monitors progress of deliverables and actual expenditures vs forecasts.
• Performs financial analysis including variance, risk and profit/loss analyses.
• Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on baselines.
