Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist in Atlanta, GA to lead project controls, manage scheduling and cost reporting, and drive program-wide data analytics. You will interface with management, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate forecasting and control across multiple large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 7 years direct project controls experience required.
• Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating and document control.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface those construction schedules with engineering and procurement activities.
• Excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and training to team members ensuring the resolution of difficult project control issues.
• Develop and implement project execution plans.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential clients, customers, and contractors.
• Responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics and cost control.
• Serve as a point of contact for technical questions from the project team.
• Validate the accuracy of cost management and forecast reporting.
• Interface with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to review project costs and contingency costs and support external audits.
• Experience in negotiation of prime agreements, construction contracts/subcontracts agreements.
• Review upstream/downstream change orders.
• Analyze cash flow reports.
• Lead IPPM meetings.
• Lead presentation of Project Controls reporting.
• Validate schedule progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, and 7 years direct project controls experience required.

• Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

• Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating and document control required.

• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.

• Ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface those construction schedules with engineering and procurement activities preferred.
