Job summary

Randstad USA in Tucker, GA is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist for a long-term contract role. You will oversee end-to-end controls across 75+ active, resource-loaded transmission line and substation capital projects in Primavera P6, driving baseline budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and Capital Program planning in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in project controls/scheduling within utility, power delivery, or energy infrastructure.
• Advanced Primavera P6 for cost and resource loading (Required).
• Direct experience in Electric Transmission Line & Substation capital projects with 75+ active schedules (Required).
• Strong background in capital budgeting, rolling forecasts, EVM, and cost variance analysis (Required).
• Ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed setup and communicate clearly with management (Required).
• B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field. PMI-SP, AACE or PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently build, track, and analyze 75+ cost- and resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedules for transmission line and substation projects.
• Conduct continuous cost/schedule variance analysis and implement proactive mitigation plans to resolve negative trends.
• Lead initial budget setup, rolling forecasts, and ongoing cost variance reporting for financial alignment.
• Feed critical cost and schedule data into macro-level annual Capital Program budget planning.
• Communicate risk profiles and status updates across matrixed teams and executive leadership; execute formal project close-outs to refine future baselines.

Candidate will oversee end-to-end controls across 75+ active, resource-loaded transmission line & substation capital projects in Primavera P6.
