Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop and maintain complex schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances and support forecasting and risk management.

You will collaborate with project teams and management, ensure compliance with procedures and regulations, and mentor junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and finance concepts.
• Experience assessing project costs, schedules, risks and controls.
• Ability to develop and maintain detailed WBS, schedules and resource plans.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates costs.
• Monitors progress of deliverables and expenditures; updates baselines as needed.
• Performs earned value analyses and prepares cost/schedule variance reports.
• Communicates risk and forecast information to stakeholders.
• Mentors junior staff and may supervise engineers on project work.
