Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the United States. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect and analyze monthly data, and ensure risks are managed with accurate forecasts.

The role requires advanced knowledge of EVM, Primavera P6, and cost control, with travel up to 20–40%. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with project teams to deliver on-time performance and financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of project controls experience.
• Experience with government/regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Travel may be required; domestically and internationally up to 20–40%.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased schedule and cost baselines for moderate to high complexity projects.
• Collects and analyzes schedule and cost data; identifies variances and conducts root-cause analyses.
• Maintains risk reserves and integrates into forecasts with standardized reporting.
• Implements financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques.
• Mentors junior staff and may supervise engineers on project work.
• Communicates with management and stakeholders to support On Time Delivery.
