Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) seeks a skilled Project Controls Manager to lead a team for the multi‑billion US ITER project. The role directs cost/schedule baselines, risk management, and change control in alignment with DOE and ORNL governance.

Responsibilities include developing WBS, detailed cost estimates, performance reporting (EVM), and training CAMs, while collaborating with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in project or construction management, business, engineering or a related field
• Five years of supervisory personnel experience
• Ten years of experience performing project controls duties on major DOE/DOD projects
• Experience with EVMS environment compliant with DOE guidelines
• Strong knowledge of WBS, cost, schedule, and change management
• Hands-on experience with Primavera, Cobra, and reporting tools

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead the project controls team and ensure alignment with budget and schedule targets
• Develop and maintain WBS and cost estimates
• Oversee risk management and quantitative risk analysis (Monte Carlo)
• Manage change control processes and prepare status reports (EVM)
• Provide guidance on EVMS processes to senior leadership
• Lead training for CAMs and support project reviews and governance
