Job summary

UT-Battelle seeks a seasoned Project Controls Manager for the US ITER project at ORNL. You will lead the project controls team, establish cost and schedule baselines, and drive risk analyses, change control, and EVM governance to ensure program success.

The role requires extensive EVMS experience, strong leadership, and collaboration with DOE and senior management to deliver multi-billion dollar objectives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in project or construction management, business, engineering or a related field.
• Five years of supervisory personnel experience.
• Ten years of project controls duties on major DOE/DOD projects.
• EVMS environment compliant with DOE/ EIA-748 (O413.3B) including baselines and variance analysis.
• Experience with Primavera, Cobra or similar cost processors, change control apps, and custom reports.
• Strong communications with senior leadership and governance committees.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead the project controls team.
• Develop and maintain WBS and resource-loaded schedules with cost estimates.
• Identify and manage risks; oversee Monte Carlo simulations and quantitative risk analysis.
• Manage change control processes and ensure DOE/ORNL compliance.
• Prepare status reports including Earned Value Management (EVM) reports.
• Provide training on project controls processes to CAMs and staff.
