We are currently hiring a Senior Project Controls Engineer - Scheduler to support on-site efforts in Portsmouth, NH.
Role Summary
As a Senior Project Controls Engineer - Scheduler, you’ll be an embedded member of a project team supporting the design and delivery of technical infrastructure in a GMP or biomanufacturing setting. You’ll be responsible for managing project schedules, monitoring progress, tracking costs, and communicating updates to both client and contractor teams.
You will work full-time on-site in Portsmouth and represent Stelic as a trusted advisor and integrated
delivery partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, validation, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project milestones
- Produce and manage project budgets, forecasts, and earned value metrics
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including variance analysis and risk identification
- Maintain internal trackers, dashboards, and deliverable logs to ensure accountability across all functions
- Support executive-level decision-making through clear, data-driven analysis and recommendations
- Participate in on-site coordination meetings, walkdowns, and team reviews
- Maintain professionalism and responsiveness in a client-facing role with multiple stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Life Sciences, or a related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or cost tracking
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet
- Working knowledge of CPM scheduling, earned value management, and cost forecasting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex data for non-technical audiences
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to
- Must be able to work full-time on-site at client locations in the Portsmouth, NH area
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Required Tools and Systems
Candidates must be proficient in at least one and exposed to several of the following:
- Primavera P6: Critical path scheduling, baseline comparisons, and layout customizations
- Microsoft Project: For smaller projects, quick updates, or summary-level schedules
- Smartsheet: Used for collaborative tracking, Gantt charts, resource alignment, and dashboards
- Excel (advanced): For manual calculations, earned value metrics, risk modeling, cost tracking
- PowerPoint or Power BI: For visual reporting and presentations to client stakeholders
- Purchase Order and ERP Systems: Familiarity with tools like SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus
- Project Dashboards: Experience building or maintaining custom dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Excel-based, or within Smartsheet)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on life sciences, cleanroom, or other GMP-compliant facility projects
- Familiarity with tools like SAP, Oracle, or other PO/cost management platforms
- Ability to develop or manage project dashboards in Power BI, Excel, or Tableau
