The role focuses on improving costing discipline, setting up controls systems, and producing monthly forecasts, involving collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction teams on a major energy project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in a similar cost-controls or project-controls role.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• Able to solve complex cost-management problems with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Understand constructability concepts and interdependencies between Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction.
• Apply contractual requirements via the project controls execution plan.
• Set up and maintain project controls reports and systems.
• Analyze cost forecasting, trends and committed costs vs. budget.
• Recommend recovery plans and solutions for cost issues.
• Prepare monthly Project Forecasts and monitor cost accruals.
