Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a Project Controller for the Building Division in Mount Pleasant, WI. This role will own the P&L on major projects and mentor accounting staff, while interfacing with owners and joint venture partners.

You will oversee cost forecasting, billing coordination, and month-end closes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong project controls across mega projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience with CMiC or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to read financial statements and communicate with stakeholders.
• Some light travel required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate P&L on projects with large contract values.
• Mentor and train project accountants when applicable.
• Represent the company in owner and JV meetings and relations.
• Manage job and subcontractor duties on mega projects.
• Involved in cost forecasting and owner billing.
• Develop relationships with project staff and review cost reports.
• Provide analytical information to project Operations team.
• Ensure costs and billings are booked in proper months.
• Oversee accounts receivable and communicate for collection.
• Finalize job closeout and documentation for owners.
