Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking a Project Controller to support the financial and commercial performance of grid projects. You will manage cost, revenue, cash flow, and forecast accuracy across execution, working with project teams in a hybrid setup.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience in project control or finance, knowledge of SAP/ERP, and IFRS/US GAAP; experience with revenue recognition and tender reviews is valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project control or finance.
• Experience with POC revenue recognition.
• Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP accounting requirements.
• Experience maintaining forecasts in SAP/ERP systems.
• Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Review tender financials, contracts, and tax aspects with the Tender Manager.
• Monitor contractual terms and provide input during negotiations and risk reviews.
• Update Estimated Cost to Complete and planned costs as project conditions change.
• Forecast revenue and maintain revenue recognition assumptions in IFRS/US GAAP.
• Monitor actual vs. forecast performance and identify overruns and margin changes.
• Lead monthly project financial reviews with the Project Manager and present updates.
• Maintain forecast integrity in SAP and reconcile forecast values to records.
• Act as a financial business partner to support commercial performance and claims.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.
