Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Services (AIS) seeks a Project Control III to support Oak Ridge, TN projects. You will assist Project Managers in financial planning, reporting, and billing, and manage Costpoint setups, P&Ls, and forecasts with Cognos reports.

Responsibilities include budgeting, variance analysis, A/R/A/P, and vendor payments. Strong Excel, Costpoint, and communication skills are required; remote work is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience providing project accounting support for services contracts for government customers.
• MS Excel Proficiency- Vlookup, pivot tables, conditional formatting and data validation
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, proactive.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of delivering well-organized and accurate work.
• Proven ability to work well with accounting, contracts, procurement and project personnel to accomplish tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field preferred.
• Experience in Costpoint (billing, project setup, reports, procurement) and Cognos reports.
• Strong skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in all duties related to financial and performance, planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Project Setup and Maintenance in Deltek Costpoint: setup, funding, billing, rates, and workforce.
• Cash Application: process payments, reconcile discrepancies, monitor AR balances, support billing.
• Budgeting and financial analysis: develop budgets, monitor actuals, analyze variance, forecast/EACs.
• Project A/R and A/P: process subcontractor payments, generate invoices, monitor billing status, accruals.
• Assist project team with risk analysis, reviews, POs in Costpoint, and financial reporting.
• Contract/Pricing: review contracts for financial compliance, assist with pricing, maintain files.
