Job summary

Stark Tech is seeking a Senior Project & Commissioning Engineer to lead RNG plant start-up from SAT through commissioning and operational acceptance. The role is client- and internally-facing, coordinating engineers, technicians, contractors, and vendors to meet start-up and operation requirements while driving cost efficiency.

The position requires 7-10 years of RNG experience in related settings, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience required.
• 7-10 years of RNG plant experience in landfill/biogas or related equipment.
• Experience with RNG equipment design, startup, testing, and full plant operation.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements

The Senior Project & Commissioning Engineer is a technical subject matter expert and responsible for managing an RNG plant start-up from SAT through full commissioning and operational acceptance. This individual will be both customer and internal facing and will coordinate activity of all parties to meet start up and operational requirements in a timely and cost-efficient manner, including providing leadership and coaching to Engineers and Technicians. This position will also be responsible for individual skid and Balance of Plant controls support.

Compensation

The expected pay range for this position is $84,552-$112,736 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Stark Tech reasonably expects to pay within this range at the time of hire. Individual compensation is determined based on several factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.

Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience required.
• 7-10 years of experience with RNG plants in both landfill and biogas settings and/or gas compression and separation equipment and processes in related industries.
• Experience with RNG equipment design, manufacturing, testing, and startup, including demonstrated experience with full plant operation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills - ability to "think on your feet" and resolve issues in the field in real time.
• Strong customer service and communication skills and mindset; ability to balance competing interests of customers, contractors, vendors and other parties.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively with other project managers, engineers, and trades.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. CAD experience a plus.
• Project management skills (PMP a plus).
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
• Able to travel nationwide up to 50%+, including multiple weeks on site as required.
