SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Pittsburgh, PA. Specializing in energy project site civil design, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, our team delivers high-quality solutions to clients across the U.S.

The ideal candidate will lead engineering projects, manage junior staff, and engage in business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• PE license in PA or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and development of construction drawings.
• Oversee CAD design efforts and mentor junior staff on CAD standards.
• Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure delivery.
• Support engineering needs across SWCA offices with technical guidance.
• Coordinate with teams to balance workloads and meet schedules/budgets.
• Conduct technical reviews of project deliverables for accuracy.
• Assist with Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
• Develop safety plans and promote team safety on projects.
• Build strong client relationships through effective communication and project management.
