Job Description

Ryan Companies is looking for an organized, creative, innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking individual who aims for the highest standards of excellence. Ryan Architecture and Engineering team is seeking a stellar Senior Project Architect to work on new Multi-Family and Active Adult Projects. Ryan A+E is committed to promoting a diverse workforce.

The ideal candidate will be able to problem solve and design both collaboratively and independently. Candidates with 10-12 years of experience are preferred, but those with unique career paths or clear potential will be considered. Ryan Companies employs an integrated delivery process involving architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management, and capital markets. The role requires proactive, positive collaboration with local and national teams.

Some Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with clients, project managers, design teams, development, construction, and consultants to develop documentation for coordination and construction. Lead problem-solving and design documentation efforts throughout project phases.
  2. Lead design teams through the design process of complex, large projects. Oversee design documentation, meetings, schedules, and technical guidance. Manage code reviews, regulatory approvals, QA/QC processes, and project specifications. Communicate deviations clearly and foster collaboration.
  3. Participate in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
  4. Attend project interviews and contribute to business development.
  5. Establish and pursue personal and professional goals aligned with company growth.
  6. Ensure design excellence, execution, and sustainability in projects.
  7. Supervise and mentor staff, conduct annual reviews, and set development goals.
  8. Engage in the company's strategic initiatives and business planning.
Qualifications for Success
  1. Professional Architecture degree; Bachelor or Master of Architecture preferred.
  2. Proven experience managing multiple projects, including those over $50M.
  3. Technical experience in wood-framed projects; Florida architectural licensure is a plus.
  4. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  5. Expertise in Revit, Building Codes, Documentation, and Constructability; Bluebeam, LEED AP, and WELL AP are preferred.
