Job summary

Genesis AEC is seeking an experienced Project Architect to guide architectural design and documentation from concept through construction documentation across complex projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, SMEs, consultants, and external partners to deliver high-quality, coordinated solutions with technical confidence and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong collaboration, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Team approach and positive attitude.
• Completion of Professional Licensure is strongly preferred.
• 7-10+ years of experience in a Project Architect/Designer role.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development from concept through construction documentation for assigned project scopes.
• Lead technical coordination across architecture, interiors, engineering disciplines, consultants, and SMEs.
• Develop and review coordinated project documents for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with codes and standards.
• Resolve design and documentation issues balancing schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and external team members under the direction of the architectural project leader.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs; participate in field site visits and follow-up documentation.
• Apply best practices to create strong project solutions through an integrated design approach.
• Support QA/QC reviews and help identify opportunities to improve project delivery and outcomes.
• Mentor junior designers or staff in documentation standards and workflows.
• Utilize Revit and other advanced design tools to enhance coordination and outcomes.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent projects or project phases.
