Job summary

Nardi Associates, LLP, a boutique design-oriented architectural firm in Monrovia, CA, seeks a Senior Architectural Project Manager/Job Captain to lead projects from planning through construction documents and administration. The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of experience, strong AutoCAD/Revit skills, and deep knowledge of California codes and entitlement processes.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of architectural experience.
• Experience in single-family residential, multi-family housing, and mixed-use developments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Thorough understanding of California Building Codes and zoning regulations.
• Experience managing planning entitlements and building permit approvals across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• California architectural license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple architectural projects and coordinate daily production.
• Prepare, review, and oversee construction documents.
• Manage planning and entitlement applications, including discretionary approvals, zoning reviews, and coordination with planning departments across various jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, MEP, landscape, and other consultants.
• Review drawings for code compliance, constructability, and quality control.
• Manage building permit submissions, plan-check corrections, and agency coordination.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and city departments.
• Direct junior staff and coordinate project deadlines and deliverables.
• Assist with construction administration and resolving field issues.
