Job summary

Burrow Global LLC is seeking an experienced Architect for our Houston, TX office. You will lead design development, prepare construction documents, and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, performing site reviews, and ensuring code compliance with authorities. A TX registration or NCARB reciprocity is required, with 7–10 years of experience and strong AutoCAD/Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Registered in the State of Texas or able to reciprocity through NCARB.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated proficiency with space programming, contract documents, detailing and specifications.
• Strong design and graphic skills, team production management, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.
• 7–10 years total experience with 3–5 years as a project Architect.
• ADA and TAS knowledge; LEED accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi-discipline team on design development and contract documents for projects in the Houston, TX area.
• Coordinate and lead the work of a multi-disciplinary team; attend client and internal meetings; ensure code compliance with reviews by authorities.
• Assist the Project Manager in managing project teams, clients, and sub-consultants.
• Produce architectural contract documents and review for conflicts with other disciplines; draft and edit specifications.
• Coordinate addenda, RFIs, change orders and implement agreed changes into project documents.
• Participate in Construction Administration by reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs; conduct site visits.
• Travel for project-related activities to sites, meetings, and assessments as needed.
