Job description

Brereton is hiring a seasoned Senior Project Architect/Manager to lead the execution of complex architectural and interiors projects from concept through completion. This leadership role combines project oversight, client management, team mentorship, and a strong focus on quality, budget, and schedule performance.

What You'll Do
  • Manage all phases of one large or several small/mid-sized projects.
  • Define scope, structure project teams, and lead scheduling and budgeting efforts.
  • Serve as the primary client contact—building trust and ensuring clear communication.
  • Develop fee proposals, negotiate contracts, and monitor project profitability.
  • Oversee design development, working drawings, specs, and construction administration.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external consultants to ensure technical excellence.
  • Track project progress, manage risk, and maintain alignment with firm standards.
  • Mentor and supervise staff, contribute to internal standards, and participate in knowledge‑sharing groups.
What You Bring
  • Substantial project management experience in architecture or interior architecture.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from planning through construction closeout.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design (or related field).
  • Professional license preferred (CID, ASID, LEED AP, Architect).
  • Expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and team management.
  • Deep understanding of codes, construction methods, and sustainable practices.
  • Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD, MS Office, and project reporting tools.
  • Strong client‑facing skills and ability to manage profitability, risk, and staffing.
