Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Project Analyst to support the SP&I team within BSPM. The role involves contributing to PrimeNet migration efforts, coordinating resources and schedules, and developing dashboards to enhance project oversight.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience (or a Master’s with 1+ year) and has experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support PrimeNet system migration projects including development of project materials, schedules, meetings, metrics and documentation.
  • Support Financial Services Digital Transformation by coordinating resources, schedules, meetings, tracking work, and metrics.
  • Develop Power Apps or Power BI dashboards to support BSPM operations.
  • Oversee BSPM budget planning and track current year performance.
  • Coordinate vendor contracts with the procurement department as appropriate.

Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Strategic Planning and Integration (SP&I) team of the Business Systems Program Management Office (BSPM) is looking for a Project Analyst. BSPM is a technically diverse and dynamic Subdivision with a team of IT and Project professionals. SP&I is responsible for providing strategic planning for business systems upgrades and centralized, coordinated management of system projects and operations that contribute to the development and optimization of Naval Reactors (NR) Program business systems in alignment with overall NR Program and NNL goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support existing PrimeNet system migration projects through participation in the development of project and program materials, the maintenance of project schedules, facilitating and supporting project meetings, creation and maintenance of project metrics, and maintenance of project documentation.
  • Support the Financial Services Digital Transformation Initiative through the coordination of project resources, creation and maintenance of schedules, support and facilitation of initiative meetings, tracking of work, and creation of progress metrics.
  • Development of Power Apps or Power BI dashboards to support BPSM operations.
  • Oversight of the BSPM budget planning and tracking of current year performance.
  • Coordination of vendor contracts with functional points of contact and the procurement department as appropriate.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Current/previous project experience.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining project schedules utilizing project management principles and tools.
  • Experience working on project teams and supporting the various phases of a project.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with Power Apps/Power BI Software to support the creation of project documentation.

Pay Range

$63,900.00 - $97,800.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
