Job summary

The Walsh Group in Chicago, IL is seeking an Accounting Manager for the Service Group. You will oversee project accounting, supervise a team, and ensure timely monthly closes, cost reports, and P&L reviews.

You’ll collaborate with Business Group Leaders and Program Managers to manage budgets and financial risk across multiple projects. Qualified candidates hold a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and have prior construction accounting management experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with project accounting and GAAP principles.
• Leadership and supervision of accounting staff.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages project accounting for the service group.
• Reviews and budgets overhead cost reports for the business group.
• Supervises and develops staff of project accountants.
• Performs internal audits of cost reports and sites.
• Manages monthly P&L submissions and reviews for accuracy.
• Provides financial info for prequals and new bids.
• Prepares owner billings and revenue projections.
• Monitors cash flow and communicates with project staff on A/R.
