Job summary

Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) is seeking a Project Accountant III to provide advanced budget and financial analysis support for contract proposals, project budgets, and organizational financial planning activities.

Working with the Budget Manager and Controller, this role develops and maintains proposal budgets, budget-to-actual documents, and financial documentation using Costpoint, Excel, and Microsoft Copilot to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (MBA or Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years in budgeting, accounting, or financial analysis.
• RFP/Procurement experience.
• Excel proficiency with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems and Costpoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain budgets, travel estimates, and cost documentation for contracts.
• Review contracts and related documents to ensure budgets and financial records align with requirements.
• Support development of proposal narratives, budgets, financial analysis, and related documentation.
• Prepare budget-to-actual documents and monitor variances to identify trends and risks.
• Create contract briefs and the monthly standard project reports for management.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as assigned.
