Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 5 yrs. prior experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in financial and project accounting software, Vantagepoint preferred.
• Experience with an engineering or professional services industry is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products, and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
• TxDOT or Public Sector Client experience a plus.
• Outstanding client relations internally and externally.
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, attention to detail and ability to independently problem solve is a must.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including working in a team environment and interacting with project managers.

Aufgaben

• 5+ years of experience in project accounting, to include billings responsibilities, is required.
• Review project contracts and additional service requests to understand the financial requirements for each project
• Set up and maintain projects in accounting system according to contract terms
• Process monthly invoices
• Administer invoice submission to clients as directed by project managers
• Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders for the accounting files
• Meet frequently with project managers to review status of projects for invoicing, unbilled and accounts receivable
• Works independently to research and resolve issues
• May provide accounting support to other staff as needed
• May be asked to train, educate or guide non-financial staff on accounting procedures
• Report on ad hoc project related requests from project managers
• Respond to requests for more detail from clients
• Close out project accounts upon project completion
