You will analyze project costs, support monthly close, ensure internal controls, and collaborate with leadership to drive efficient processes and informed decision-making.

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 5+ years in project accounting required; strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance or related field.
• 5+ years in project accounting or related role.
• Experience with job costing and project expense tracking.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft 365 (Outlook and Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and mission statements.
• Represent the company professionally in all interactions and communications.
• Review, code, and enter daily project-related transactions.
• Research discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate financial records across all project areas and ensure internal controls.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, deposits, and draws for active jobs.
• Collaborate with ownership, field personnel, and vendors to keep data accurate.
• Prepare and distribute project reports and analyses for management.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing and 1099 reporting.
• Process and manage lot-specific expenses and real estate tax transactions.
• Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, reporting, and controls.
