Job summary

Orange County Government seeks a senior IT Applications Developer to design, code, test, debug, and maintain complex software systems on-site in Orlando. You will work under the IT Project Leader, deliver high-quality databases, MS SQL queries, and provide after-hours support as needed.

Requirements include a BA/BS in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of relevant programming experience and strong .NET and SQL skills, plus excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field and 3 years of progressive programming experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, install, and test software applications based on specifications.
• Write complex SQL queries and design moderately complex databases with guidance from technical leads.
• Analyze business needs and provide automated solutions with input from leads.
• Provide on-call support 24/7 as required.
• Document applications, specifications and user manuals.
