Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of applications in client and web environments.
Complete programming functions, including writing and maintaining new applications.
Maintain current programs and documentation standards and practices.
Establish testing criteria, test, and debug applications.
Perform file recovery and storage versioning/housekeeping functions.
Conduct analysis of application systems.
Design and implement application systems.
Create and maintain application system documentation.
Report status on assigned tasks.
Perform feasibility studies and requirement analysis.
Assist or train other team members in resolving application problems.
Participate in intranet/internet planning discussions and implementations.
Provide world-class customer service.
Maintain contact with the users to remain familiar with the user's needs.
Demonstrate any new or enhanced system to users.
Work with user and technical teams in a professional manner.
Consult with management to get approval for new applications.
Contribute to project management requirements.
Participate in status meetings.
Maintain technical expertise of application systems.
Maintain a high degree of technical competence in client and web programming and system analysis.
Utilize vendor supplied technical manuals and training material to acquire/solidify skills in assigned fields.
Maintain a working knowledge of vendor supplied software/utilities in the areas of Java, intranet/internet security, and back-end data connectivity.
