Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Lead site leadership in developing community plans and center-wide decisions.

  • Manage personnel, including hiring, assigning, and supervising staff.
  • Prepare program budgets and ensure contractual fiscal compliance.
  • Write grants and contribute to fundraising strategies.
  • Coordinate with multi-service and agency-wide systems integration.

Salary: The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $74,000 and $82,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.

We are now hiring for a full-time Senior Program Supervisor to join our Calumet office.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Actively participates on the site leadership team, including in the development of community plans and a wide variety of center-wide decision making.
  • Takes leadership in working with community agencies, organizations, and institutions as appropriate to carry out program goals.
  • Manages all aspects of Rapid Re-housing program.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity of services and keeps abreast of client service needs and participates in planning for them.
  • Supervises and provides consultation to assigned Program Supervisor and multiple RRH staff.
  • Responsible for all personnel matters within own programs, including hiring, assigning, and terminating of staff. Fosters leadership potential of program staff.
  • Responsible for the writing of program, annual, and long-range plans.
  • Recommends, develops, and monitors program budgets.
  • Monitors program to assure programmatic reporting and fiscal compliance of contracts, annual, and long-range plans.
  • Writes public grants as requested.
  • Provides programmatic input in fundraising strategies.
  • Assures and takes leadership in appropriate integration of multi-service, multi-disciplinary, and/or agency-wide systems approach to program.
  • Acts as the local liaison to funders as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with community groups relating to program needs.
  • Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • License as required by agency and governmental bodies, if applicable to the program.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in social services with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in direct supervision of staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required.
  • 7+ years of working experience in social services, with increasing levels of administrative and supervisory responsibility required.
Additional Requirements
  • Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and background checks.
Transporation/Travel Requirements
  • Driving for work required with personally owned vehicle. Travel in the community required.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
