Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to lead CPM scheduling for large capital programs in the US. The role involves integrating design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and occupancy activities.

The ideal candidate will possess 7–10 years of AEC scheduling experience, advanced Primavera P6, and strong CPM knowledge, with PMP/SP/CCM certifications preferred. Expect collaboration with PMs, consultants, and owners on multi-million $, complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7-10 years of AEC project scheduling experience.
• Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency required.
• Experience with MS Project, Power BI, advanced Excel, Procore, or Oracle Primavera Cloud preferred.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling and construction delivery methods.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience managing schedules for programs exceeding $50M preferred.
• Experience with K-12, Higher Education, Municipal, Aviation, Healthcare, or Public Infrastructure programs preferred.
• PSP, PMP, PMI-SP, or CCM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates expertise in project scheduling and management, with a strong focus on CPM scheduling and Primavera P6.
• Facilitates collaboration among stakeholders and mentors junior team members while ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Develops program dashboards, milestone tracking, look-ahead schedules, and schedule/cost reporting.
• Coordinates schedules across PMs, consultants, contractors, and owners; supports QA/QC and QA/QC practices.

Job description

• Develop and maintain master, baseline, and milestone schedules for multiple capital projects from planning through closeout
• Integrate design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and occupancy activities
• Perform CPM and schedule analysis; identify risks, constraints, delays, and recovery opportunities
• Review contractor schedules, updates, recovery plans, logic, sequencing, and resource loading
• Develop program dashboards, milestone tracking, look-ahead schedules, and schedule/cost reporting
• Support capital planning, cash-flow forecasting, earned value, and production analysis
• Develop program-wide mitigation strategies, phasing plans, procurement sequencing, and opportunities to accelerate delivery
• Support Program Execution Plans (PEPs) and project execution strategies
• Facilitate schedule workshops and pull-planning sessions and present updates to leadership and clients
• Coordinate schedules across Project Managers, consultants, contractors, and owners
• Develop scheduling standards, templates, and best practices; mentor junior schedulers and support QA/QC

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered
