Senior Program / Project Manager

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include :

1. Leading, supporting, and coaching teams to deliver large and complex project(s) and/or program(s) that span across one or more business units.
2. Drive overall delivery execution; manage resources, schedules, financials, and adhere to quality and control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle.
3. Manage strategic, continuous improvement, and transformation initiatives; lead all aspects of a project and/or program to ensure timely and effective execution.
4. Work with multiple development methodologies such as waterfall, iterative, and agile (scrum, kanban) to support project teams. Be aware of agile techniques such as automated testing, user stories, test-driven development, continuous integration, and agile games.
5. Act as a business partner with critical thinking skills to define practical solutions aligning with strategic objectives. Understand the business needs of the project and its interaction with other projects/programs to make decisions in the organization’s best interest.
6. Establish strong relationships with executive sponsors, business owners, and stakeholders to manage expectations and project delivery. Monitor performance and recommend schedule, cost, or resource adjustments. Provide timely updates for escalation, reporting, and risk management.
7. Manage project change requests impacting scope, schedule, and budget. Lead or coordinate project planning, including resource, staff, supply, subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and team management.
8. Ensure project resources follow established processes and participate in strengthening internal tools, artifacts, and governance. Manage/mentor team members and colleagues in leadership, methodology, tools, and communication skills.

Basic, Required Qualifications :

1. Certification Required: PMP
2. Minimum eight years of Business Consulting-Program / Project Management PMO Strategy experience.
3. Minimum three years of Agile Scrum experience
4. Minimum three years of application development or systems integration projects managing fixed-price projects.

Other Desired Qualifications :

1. Tools : MS Project, MS Project Server, JIRA, Confluence, MS Office Suite
2. Preferred Skills : Financial services experience, preferably in life insurance and annuity.
