Job summary

Allison Transmission seeks a Supply Chain Launch Program Planner to lead cross-functional launches, optimize material handling, and own PFEP strategies. You will design layouts, drive JIT/KITTING improvements, and manage KPI dashboards using Power BI.

This role partners with Engineering and Product teams to ensure ECO compliance and continuous cost optimization across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or related field.
• Knowledge of pull systems / Kanban preferred.
• Knowledge / experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in process mapping tools / Value Stream Mapping (e.g. Visio, eVSM).
• Analytical ability for solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: analyze warehousing processes to remove bottlenecks in receiving, storage, picking, packing, and staging.
• Layout & Workflow Design: design efficient material flow layouts, supermarkets, and zone-picking.
• PFEP & Inventory Control: develop PFEP to define packaging, min/max levels, and replenishment triggers.
• Kitting & Line Delivery: optimize JIT and POU kitting to improve traceability and in-plant movements.
• Data & KPI Management: build KPI dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
• Continuous Improvement Leadership: lead Kaizen events for space and productivity gains.
• Capacity Modelling & Simulation: model space and future-state flows with AutoCAD/Visio.
• Risk Management & Compliance: conduct PFMEAs and contingency plans.
