The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine invites applications for a Program Officer or Senior Program Officer to develop and manage programs within the mathematical sciences. The role sits in CAST under PSSI, focusing on advancing science and policy through workshops, studies, and consensus activities.

Candidates should have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) with strong program management and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to synthesize complex information

• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex scientific, technical, and policy information.

Responsabilités

• Develop and manage programs, workshops, meetings, studies, and related activities within the mathematical sciences portfolio.
• Establish project objectives, work plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables; coordinate project activities; address issues; ensure objectives are met.
• Engage with experts, sponsors, and external stakeholders; support committees and expert groups with agendas and background materials.
