NMSU STEM Outreach Center seeks a Program Manager Senior for OST Programs in Las Cruces to advance STEM+ education across southern New Mexico. You will lead inquiry-based OST initiatives, coordinate after-school and summer programs, and engage families to extend learning beyond the classroom.

The role requires coordinating with the Executive Director, managing grant-funded operations, and ensuring alignment with university policies and grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree + 9 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 7 years of relevant experience. Master's degree or higher preferred.
• Equivalent Qualifications:
• Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in STEM Education, School Administration, or related field; 5+ years experience in developing district and school partnerships for out-of-school time programs; experience in developing STEM-based K-12 OST curriculum. School of education grant administration experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• The Program Manager Senior position serves as assistant director for the STEM Outreach Center at New Mexico State University (NMSU) to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate out-of-school-time (OST) STEM initiatives, including after-school programs, summer camps, and family engagement events.
• The manager collaborates with the Executive Director to manage day-to-day operations of assigned grant-funded programs, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with approved goals and grant requirements.
• Develops operational plans, implements approved procedures, and recommends program improvements.
• Coordinates with principals, community partners, and University personnel; supports and supervises Center program staff; monitors budgets and expenditures with the fiscal manager; and coordinates timely completion of grant deliverables.
• Prepares and coordinates MOUs, initiates grant proposal and funding development, and monitors program outcomes.
• Tracks participation, outcomes, and deliverables with the Data team; provides regular reports to the Executive Director; recommends improvements based on findings.
