This role works hand-in-hand with Services Finance, IS&T, Services Engineering, and SME’s within the broader finance organization. The ideal candidate is a naturally technical operator, and a classic document-driven program manager, who can organize engineering work into coherent, deliverable capabilities.

Description

The Senior Program Manager will develop and articulate a clear vision and roadmap for transforming Services Finance processes, systems, and workflows. This role is grounded first in Services domain expertise, executed through hands‑on technical program management, and enabled by direct fluency in data and systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the program plan, timeline, and cross‑functional coordination for transformation initiatives, in close collaboration with Finance, Services, and IS&T leadership.
• Collaborate with Services Business teams, Finance, and IS&T to design next‑generation financial systems that support ongoing business evolution.
• Develop a programmatic strategy for Apple’s financial system architecture to facilitate business expansion through robust financial accounting automation, internal controls, and strategic alignment.
• Evaluate, recommend, and oversee implementation of new enterprise technologies and systems using direct technical fluency to validate solutions in close partnership with IS&T.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in program management, finance operations, systems analysis, or process transformation, with demonstrated success owning significant technical workstreams end‑to‑end.
• BS or BA in Business, Economics, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of subscription finance ecosystems, including billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting across various service business models
• Demonstrated ability to lead highly complex and technical cross‑functional projects, influence stakeholders, and drive change across IS&T, PMO, and business units
• General knowledge of core GBS processes (Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report)
• Hands‑on experience with systems supporting subscription and services finance, including defining initial requirements and developing system designs.
• Proven ability to apply emerging technologies (Generative AI, RPA) to Services Finance problems such as revenue recognition anomaly detection, subscription billing reconciliation, and automated compliance monitoring, from concept through implementation.
• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and internal‑controls frameworks relevant to service subscriptions and finance operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in the architectural design and implementation of Financial Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions.
• Experience distilling complex technical work and system architecture designs into clear, business‑relevant presentations for senior management and executive audiences.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,400 and $311,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
