Job summary

Progress Rail Services Corp. in Muncie, IN seeks a Program Manager II to oversee locomotive projects within the PMO. You will plan, budget, monitor, and document all aspects while coordinating with upper management and other departments to ensure project health and direction.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive PM experience, locomotive knowledge, and the ability to influence across teams. Expect 20-30% travel and close collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Program Management or equivalent.
• Experience using MS-Project, Primavera or other PM scheduling tools.
• Minimum 10 years' experience on capital-intensive, engineering, long life cycle products.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects including Locomotive Builds, R&D, Rebuild and Repower as well as aftermarket products.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
• Organize project structure and lead cross-functional teams to meet project needs.
• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan and scope.
• Communicate status and risks to stakeholders and management.
• Control costs and manage the project budget; monitor changes.
