Saab AB in East Syracuse, NY seeks a Principal Program Manager to ensure profitable execution of development programs in the Surveillance division, with on-site work at the East Syracuse office.

The role requires deep experience in design, development and fielding of large-scale radar systems, and strong program management, EVMS discipline, and growth through competitive proposals and new opportunities across the portfolio.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of Program Management experience, $50M–$100M+ program lifecycle in aerospace/defense.
• Extensive experience negotiating multi-million dollar agreements with large Aerospace and Defense customers.
• Demonstrated track record leading large scale aerospace and defense business capture efforts.
• Must possess advanced knowledge of program management standards and best practices (scheduling, cost accounting, EVMS, Risk/Opportunity management).
• Ability to contribute to the development strategy and lead strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% in support of program and business.

• Establish and control program budgets aligned with program needs.
• Ensure all projects are managed within approved program management processes.
• Make personnel recommendations in support of business objectives.
• Drive Earned Value Management principles and use EVMS to report program status.
• Identify and pursue significant new business opportunities.
• Develop high-quality competitive proposals to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with functions to leverage execution and capture strategies across design and manufacturing phases.
• Grow relationships in the customer community and with primes for new deployments.
• Provide leadership to ensure high-quality products and services, delivery on-time and within cost.
