Job Purpose

The Senior Portfolio Manager will primarily be responsible for supporting, executing, and reporting on the NY Electric Cost Consciousness Program.

Key Accountabilities

1. Directly support and report on the NY Electric Cost-Conscious Program.
2. Process Analysis: Evaluate current organizational processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
3. Solution Development: Collaborate with teams to develop and propose practical solutions, including process redesign, automation, or technology enhancements.
4. Training and Documentation: Develop training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and documentation to ensure that optimized processes are effectively adopted and maintained by teams.
5. Change Management: Facilitate change management efforts by communicating proposed improvements, obtaining buy-in from stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation.
6. Work with various key stakeholders to identify and develop a balanced portfolio of initiatives that will result in enduring Operational Efficiencies.
7. Work with business to identify and mitigate potential challenges to initiative viability (e.g., regulatory, labor agreements, technology).
8. Work with the transformation team on monthly reporting activities to ensure Enterprise Hub (EHUB) is aligned with current project tracking for enterprise-wide reporting requirements.
9. Facilitate monthly progress calls with key stakeholders.
10. Present to senior leadership on key initiatives and the Cost-Conscious Program.
11. Provide project management functions (e.g., schedule and milestone development, KPIs, financial reporting tied to Controllable Budgets and P&L, process flows, RACI).
12. Create and manage Electric-wide KPIs to identify gaps in performance against CAPEX and OPEX delivery drive step changes in delivery effectiveness.
13. Support People and Culture and Digital and Data teams to ensure the necessary plans and messaging is in place to support our Cost Consciousness change management and drive operational efficiencies into the business.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

1. Engage stakeholders and have effective collaboration and partnership capabilities.
2. Excellent written/oral communication skills, follow-up, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years experience within Project Management, Financial Reporting, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business/finance/accounting/engineering and/or significant relevant experience.
3. Experience with successful delivery of complex projects and possess team leadership skills.
4. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities; organized, detail-oriented, able to make independent decisions with a high degree of confidence.
5. Understands policies and processes and demonstrates the ability to challenge existing processes and ways of working.
6. Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with company personnel, contractors, regulatory representatives, and town/city officials in a positive collaborative manner.
7. Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., both external and internal).
8. Demonstrates the ability to interpret information and analyze relationships among several parts of a problem or situation to clearly articulate the findings.
9. Understanding of the operations of the electric business or the strong desire to learn.
10. Knowledge of SAP, Powerplan, STORMS, Primevera, and Business Intelligence Reporting.
11. Effectively communicates to those impacted by a decision about the situation and clearly explains the rationale behind the decision.
12. Exhibit high personal standards of commitment and integrity.
13. Valid driver’s license required.
