Job summary

The Boeing Company in Herndon, VA is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a Mission Systems program with 10+ years of PM experience. You will manage cost, schedule, and technical baselines while coordinating across IPTs and senior leaders.

You'll supervise 35+ engineers, drive plans and risk mitigations, ensure compliance with PMI/PMBOK standards, and deliver program results onsite. Security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project/program management ensuring cost, schedule and tech baseline requirements.
• Bachelor's or higher in Engineering.
• Experience leading agile development teams.
• Experience writing proposals, RFIs and/or RFPs.
• Experience delivering presentations to Senior Leaders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and IPT leads to plan, execute, monitor and control project work.
• Demonstrate proficiency in PM standards (PMI/PMBOK/ANSI/ISO) with focus on culture, cost, schedule and affordability.
• Lead teams of 35+ engineering professionals to meet milestones and objectives.
• Manage the Program Execution Plan and related plans (Configuration/Asset/Communications) in an agile environment.
• Develop project/operational plans aligned to Customer objectives.
• Implement plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.
• Assign authority and responsibilities to staff to execute the plan.
• Make adjustments and resolve issues to stay on plan.
• Monitor metrics to ensure performance against plan.
• Build a strong customer and teammate relationship to achieve objectives.
• Ensure procurement activities across O&M and development scope.
• Incorporate lessons learned and historical reports into future plans.
• Provide input on team member performance to management.
• Promote a healthy team culture with collaboration, safety and ingenuity.
