Job summary

Northland Controls, based in Fremont, California, is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a team of Project Managers delivering complex security, access control, and CCTV programs for major tech clients. Qualifications

  • Significant experience managing complex, high-value projects or programs within the security industry.
  • Proven experience leading and developing Project Managers and project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of security systems, including access control, CCTV, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Lenel, Software House, or similar enterprise security platforms; certifications desired.
  • PMP certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and controls.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and risk management.
  • Valid driver's license and travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering complex security projects and programs.
  • Oversee program execution to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Maintain strong project and financial controls, including budgets, forecasts, schedules, resource planning, and overall program performance.
  • Partner with customers to understand requirements, manage expectations, resolve challenges, and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects progressing effectively.
  • Monitor program risks, dependencies, milestones, and financial performance and take proactive action when issues arise.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams while establishing clear expectations and accountability for results.
  • Support resource planning and prioritization across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, operational processes, and overall customer experience.
  • Provide regular program updates and performance reporting to business leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Support customer meetings, project reviews, and other business activities requiring travel as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Operations and Project Management organization.
