Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Principal Program Manager to shape the future of centralized commissary kitchens and freshly prepared foods. This senior role demands strategic vision, ambiguity mastery, and leadership across Amazon and WFM leadership to drive a major initiative from concept to execution.

You will build the business case, align stakeholders, and establish mechanisms to deliver while influencing senior leaders in culinary, supply chain, and operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of program or project management experience.
• 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
• Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery.
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
• Deep knowledge of food production, kitchen operations, supply chain, and related food safety controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for a significant, complex initiative.
• Build business cases and financial plans with data-backed recommendations.
• Coordinate across merchandising, supply chain, operations, QA, finance, technology, and other teams.
• Establish planning, forecasting, and performance mechanisms for the program.
• Design and launch pilots with learning plans and stage gates for scaling.
• Prepare executive-ready reviews, business cases, and narrative documents for VPs/SVPs.
• Identify and mitigate program risks to protect continuity of service.
• Mentor and develop the program management community.
