Qualifications

• Education in public health and/or health services preferred.
• Experience with academic personnel titles, ranks, merit and promotion policies.
• Experience in financial management including budget and report preparation, analysis and forecasting across multiple funding sources.
• Experience with grant, project and database management.
• Ability to navigate a large, complex organization and troubleshoot problems.
• Knowledge of grant funding policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage department fiscal and organizational structure and respond to university requests.
• Interact with department leadership and faculty daily to achieve education strategy.
• Oversee contracts, service agreements, and annual updates.
• Develop annual departmental budgets in collaboration with the Chair.
• Forecast, trend, and project budget needs for expenditures.
• Monitor monthly variance reports and support financial goals.
• Coordinate with the Office of Sponsored Programs on grants and contracts.
• Create reports, budgets, narratives, and supporting documents for grants.
