Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah is seeking a Senior Program Manager 3 to lead complex defense programs tied to Sentinel (GBSD). This role requires top-tier program management skills and active DoD Top Secret clearance.

You will direct cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple teams, manage risk, collaborate with customers, and ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment with potential relocation support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience, OR a Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience as defined below.
  • Must be a U.S citizen and have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance within scope with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
  • At least 6 years of experience leading a Program / Projects and driving performance against a schedule
  • Experience in project management/execution and closeout
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EV) in an applicable system

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of program from inception through completion
  • Responsibility for the cost, schedule and technical performance of tooling programs
  • Act as customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
  • Collaborate across program and functional teams and ensure on-time execution
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks (technical, cost, schedule, legal, security) and maintain risk register and ensure corrective actions are tracked and closed
  • Strategically manage NCTA budgets (B&P and M&S) with financial rigor and predictability

Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Program Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

This position is contingent upon program award anticipated in 2026.

The Flight Systems Futures operating unit within Strategic Deterrent Systems is seeking highly motivated talent to join a team at the forefront of next-generation hypersonic capabilities. Our team focuses on the design, development, and demonstration of hypersonic re-entry vehicles and advanced payloads, with an emphasis on rapid development and prototyping aligned to specific customer missions. What You Will Get To Do

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
