This is an in-factory position, located in Santa Clara, California. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of program management, serving as the liaison between the company and the customer to ensure customer needs are met. Managing a cross-functional team throughout the development process; to include prototype and NPI builds, through production, test, and system integration. Takes ownership of multiple projects, simultaneously, and focuses on executing to specific parameters designed to maximize profit and increase revenue. Ability to understand and manage A/R, E&O material issues, PPV, credit, and RMA’s. Strategic thinking skills are a must, as well as task management and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Daily program management throughout the program life cycle.
- Defining the program controls by evaluating customer and regulatory requirements.
- Planning the overall program and monitoring the progress, while maintaining profitability.
- Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements.
- Coordinating the project.
- Managing and utilizing resources across projects.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer communication.
- Ensure contract compliance.
Skills
The program manager must have strong practical experience in project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects. He or she must have the following:
- Good knowledge and handling of program management methodology and techniques.
- Good understanding of the objectives of the program.
- Ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals involved in all stages of production.
- Strong management skills, and the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
- Analyze and clearly communicate issues to the customer related to pricing, forecast, and technical issues
- Ability to make smart decisions to optimize outcome for the customer and company.
Requirements and Education
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Must have experience working in contract manufacturing, a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
- Strong computer skills to include MS Word, Project, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with MRP Systems
- Solid written/verbal business communication skills.
- Analytic thinker results oriented.
- Ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical concepts to both technical and non-technical professionals.
- Ability/willingness to multitask and thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, with frequently changing priorities, is a must.
- Must have a strong understanding of file management
- Maintains responsibility for overall project performance to budget, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of CM technologies and processes
- Must be highly detail oriented and energetic.
- Ability to contribute to and foster a strong team orientation.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
