Job summary

Our client in San Jose, CA seeks a Senior Program Manager to guide delivery of complex program and construction management services across multiple workstreams.

This role requires executive presence, financial acumen, and risk management across large-scale transportation initiatives, with focus on planning, reviews, and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in heavy civil transportation or program management.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
• 20 years of heavy civil transportation experience in a senior PMC role or program management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
• Familiarity with alternative delivery methods is a plus.
• Underground project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client's agent in delivering complex program and construction management services across key areas.
• Resolve significant financial issues and manage risks on behalf of the client.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the organization's reputation and revenue in the program management domain.
• Represent the organization at state and national industry organizations as a recognized expert.
• Interact with executive-level officials to coordinate program-related matters.
• Define staffing requirements and oversee project teams, client staff, and subcontractors.
• Lead the development of client service action plans and oversee project reviews.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will serve as a strategic partner to the client, guiding the delivery of complex program and construction management services across multiple workstreams. The position requires strong executive presence, financial acumen, and the ability to manage risk, staffing, and stakeholder alignment on large-scale transportation-focused initiatives. It will also support client service planning, project reviews, and industry-facing representation while helping drive operational excellence and business growth.

Location: San Jose, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $298,549 – $476,903 annually
