Job summary

PAC Seating Systems is a custom manufacturer of engineered seating solutions for the business jet and VIP aerospace market. Founded in 2002 in Palm City, Florida, the company specializes in certified seating designed for private and business aviation.

We seek a Program Manager to lead complex, funded programs from award to closeout, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring on-time, on-budget execution.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Engineering preferred with 5–10+ years in program management.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary, funded programs.
  • Strong cost, schedule, risk, and contract management background.
  • Experience with DoD or large aerospace programs and CPARS familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned programs from contract award through execution, delivery, and closeout.
  • Establish and monitor work plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with staff and stakeholders to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensure adherence to program baselines and manage formal change control.
  • Interact with government/regulatory agencies and customers as needed.

Founded in 2002 in Palm City, Florida, the company specializes in certified seating designed for private and business aviationPrimary Schedule: 4/10'sPosition Overview:Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated program / projects to ensure that goals or objectives of program / projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties:Essential Functions:Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projectLead assigned programs from contract award through execution, delivery, and closeoutEstablishes work plan for each phase of program / projectConfers with staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, and responsibilitiesMonitors activities of program / project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budgetIs responsible for maintaining the Master Program schedule and presenting to customers when applicableEnsure adherence to program baselines and manage change through formal change control processesReviews and distributes project reports for management, client or other stakeholdersConfers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problemsManages project activities with government regulatory or other agenciesRepresents organization as a prime contact on assigned projectsInteracts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizationsTravel may be required (up to 25%) to support customer engagements and program reviewsMay be require work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet program objectives and deadlinesJob Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Proven expertise in project planning methodology and leading a matrixed team through a project life cycleAbility to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitaskExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailExcellent teamwork skillsCapable of a high degree of initiative and proceeding in the absence of specific directionExcellent negotiation, and leadership skillsAble to work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiativeMust be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Must be proficient in MS ProjectExperience in Export ComplianceHighly proficient in risk management, DoD Contracts and project managementProven ability to improve Contractor Performance Assessment Report (CPARS) scoresEducation, Certifications, and Experience:BA/BS in Engineering preferred5-10 + years of related experienceDemonstrated success managing complex, multi-disciplinary, customer-funded programsStrong experience with cost, schedule, risk and contract managementExperience managing DoD, or large commercial aerospace programsAdvanced knowledge of EVM, gated reviews, and compliance-driven environmentsKey Competencies:Strategic program leadershipExecutive presence and customer focusRisk-based decision makingFinancial acumen and business judgmentCoaching and talent developmentResults-driven executionPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
