Job summary

ZIM Aircraft Seating Group in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Program Manager to lead product lines and cross-functional teams, delivering programs on schedule and within funding parameters.

You will review SOWs, develop Integrated Master Schedules, run IPT meetings, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and prepare PMRs and Change Orders. Strong communication and relationship-building are essential in a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Developed understanding of project management and related processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in a matrixed organization; ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, especially in the aerospace industry.
  • Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Leadership

Responsibilities

  • Review Statement of Work (SOW) for program requirements and ensure customer requirements are met within cost and pricing constraints.
  • Develop Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for authorized work and communicate priorities to functional areas.
  • Identify WBS and job numbers for authorized work.
  • Chair IPT meetings and participate in customer meetings to address progress and issues.
  • Facilitate working sessions to resolve anomalies and conduct design reviews.
  • Prepare Change Order inputs and coordinate with Contracts & Pricing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to meet technical, schedule and cost constraints.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation plans.
  • Track SDRL and GRESS data submittals.
  • Prepare PMRs and Estimates to Complete/At Completion.

Job description

Manages the activities of product lines / projects / programs involving department or cross-functional teams. Focuses on delivery within prescribed time fame and funding parameters. Monitors the product line / program / project from initiation through delivery

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Review Statement of Work (SOW) for program specific requirements. Ensure customer requirements are met and in the best interests of ZIM Aircraft Cabin Solutions by creating baseline plan, and other program management components. Ensures that the cost basis and/or pricing is correct by evaluating resource requirements, performing risk analysis.
  • Develop Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for authorized work. Establishes and communicates overall priorities and changing program requirements to functional areas.
  • Identify unique WBS and job numbers for authorized work.
  • Conduct and chair Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings, minimum weekly, to review progress and identify issues.
  • Participate in Customer chaired meetings to address progress, questions, and concerns.
  • Facilitate working sessions to resolve unplanned anomalies.
  • Conduct and chair internal design reviews.
  • Participate in Customer chaired design reviews.
  • Identify, track and close on action items resulting from meetings and reviews.
  • Develop, review, and report on Estimates to Complete and at Completion.
  • Prepare material and participate in Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
  • Prepare, review and submit Change Order (CR) inputs to Contracts & Pricing.
  • Coordinate and facilitate working sessions with Suppliers as are required to meet technical, schedule and cost constraints.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation/execution plans.
  • Track Subcontract Data Requirements List (SDRL) and General Requirement for Equipment and System Supplies (GRESS) data submittals.
SECONDARY DUTIES:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and three-to-five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Developed understanding of project management and related processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in a matrixed organization; ability to build strong relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, especially in the aerospace industry.
  • Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Normal office environment where approximately 80% of work is performed in a sitting position with the remaining time walking and moving around the office area and facility floor.
  • Filing duties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, etc.
  • Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 15 lbs.
  • Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
