Job summary

i3 seeks aSenior Program Manager in Huntsville, AL to lead complex defense programs, supervise technical teams, and interface with DoD executives. You will direct program cost, schedule, and staffing decisions while driving growth and strategic roadmaps aligned with customer needs.

Job description

i3 is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the defense industry with experience in managing complex programs and leading teams.

This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

This role is currently contingent upon funding expected later this Fall.

Provide subject matter expertise on respective requirements and standards.
Instill best practices, ensure designs meet requirements, and responsible for delivering high-quality services.
Directly oversee project management, managing of technical teams, weapons systems modernization, and interfacing/briefing Corporate Executives and DoD customers.
Lead program change management and the resulting cost and schedule modifications appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsible for the overall development life cycle for the environment and the ability to manage complex projects on schedule and within budget.
Work with customers, senior officials, and engineers to develop a strategy and road map that provides compelling and value-add innovations and new capabilities.
Instill best practices, ensure designs meet requirements, and responsible for delivering high-quality services.
Formulate and enforce work standards, assign contractor schedules, review work discrepancies, supervise contractor personnel and communicate policies, purposes, and goals to the organization.
Organize, direct and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities.
Responsible for all staffing decisions, skill mix, and assessments.
Align with strategic goals and objectives of the Portfolio.
Responsible for growth, development, and nurturing of people, programs, capabilities, and execution activities.
Be responsible for the business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
Be an advocate within the team for maintaining the i3 culture and embodying i3 core values.
Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

20+ years of experience surrounding the defense industry is required.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs that include multiple subcontractors, material vendors, and demanding customers throughout their lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to manage costs on a multimillion-dollar design and development program to include ETCs, EACs, and other cost accounting methods.
Demonstrated ability leading and developing cross functional teams.
Demonstrated experience with risk management.
An active DoD Security Clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance is required.
DoD Proposals experience is preferred.
High school diploma or GED required at minimum.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
