Role Overview

The Senior Principal Program Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for owning and delivering Fluence’s most strategically significant, enterprise-critical programs. These programs directly impact company strategy, customer commitments, platform evolution, margin performance, and time-to-market.

This role goes beyond execution of a single program. It provides enterprise leadership across multiple interconnected initiatives, influences product and platform strategy, and serves as a trusted partner to executive leadership in navigating complex tradeoffs across scope, cost, schedule, risk, and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise & Strategic Leadership: Lead strategically significant, high-visibility programs that materially impact Fluence’s growth strategy, product roadmap, customer commitments, and financial performance.
  • Enterprise accountability: Serve as the single point of accountability for enterprise-level outcomes across complex, multi-year, multi-region programs.
  • Strategy translation: Translate company strategy into executable program roadmaps.
  • Program & Portfolio Ownership: Own end-to-end delivery from early concept through production launch and lifecycle execution.
  • Drive portfolio-level decision-making and manage cross-program dependencies.
  • Establish and lead integrated program governance and executive reviews.
  • Cross-Functional & Executive Influence: Lead highly matrixed teams without direct authority.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership.
  • Represent Fluence with credibility to customers and partners.
  • Operational Excellence & Risk Leadership: Drive disciplined execution across cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate enterprise-level risks.
  • Ensure total system and platform integration readiness.
  • Organizational Impact & Leadership Development: Establish best practices and elevate program management maturity.
  • Mentor and develop future program leaders.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in program or portfolio leadership
  • Proven track record leading enterprise‑critical programs
  • Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to bridge strategic and technical perspectives
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile, or Lean are preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline preferred
  • Master’s degree strongly preferred
