Job summary

Venesco, LLC in McLean, VA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a federal research communications and publishing program end to end for the FHWA.

You will own the schedule, staffing, the quality system, and the client relationship, guiding a team of writers, editors, designers, and multimedia producers delivering everything from one-page fact sheets to 500+ page reports and a quarterly national magazine.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
• Experience supervising publication of technical information from concept to final product.

Responsibilities

• Program leadership: manage complex, high-visibility projects and a full portfolio of concurrent tasks.
• Client interface: serve as primary contact to Contracting Officer, COR, Task Managers, and researchers.
• Delivery and reporting: ensure deliverables meet schedule and budget; monitor risk and performance metrics.
• Systems and tracking: maintain live status in the submission and tracking system; monitor milestones.
• Quality: develop and maintain a Quality Control Plan; report status at meetings.
• Continuity: maintain workforce coverage; lead recruitment and succession planning.
