Job summary

Leidos is hiring a Senior Program Financial Analyst to support the Persistent Surveillance Division in Huntsville, AL. Work with program managers to define financial goals, build budgets, and analyze progress against baselines to drive flawless program execution.

The role involves forecasting, EACs, cash flow management, subcontractor oversight, and delivering critical financial reviews. Remote candidates with defense contracting experience may be considered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with 8+ years in program finance.
  • Experience with multiple contract types: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus, hybrid.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience with firm fixed price milestone contracts and cash/balance forecasting.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present financial forecasts, reports, and analyses.
  • Manage program general ledger and monitor cash flow.
  • Develop and drive financial forecasts and EACs; manage subcontractors and analyze revenue/costs.
  • Identify programmatic risks and opportunities; recommend cost reductions and risk mitigation.
  • Manage FP&A activities including AOP, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and end-of-period closings.
  • Conduct month-end closings and variance/trend analyses.
  • Oversee cash management and timely invoicing, collections, and unbilled reductions.
  • Deliver EACs, QFSRs, IPBs, and AOP; price for on-contract growth.

Job description

Leidos Defense Systems Sector has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Financial Analyst to support the Persistent Surveillance Division. As a key member of the program team, you will work directly with the program managers to help define each program's financial goals and objectives; create and maintain a program's budget, analyze progress reported against the program baseline; identify risks and opportunities against the program baseline; and recommend actions to improve progress to achieve flawless program execution.

While we prefer candidates who can work onsite in Huntsville - AL, we are open to considering remote candidates with directly relevant defense contracting industry experience and qualifications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial forecasts, reports, and analysis.
  • Work closely with other functional areas on financial related elements while managing a program general ledger, and monitoring programs cash flow.
  • Develop and drive financial forecasts, EACs; manage subcontractors and analyze the program’s revenue and costs.
  • Help program managers identify programmatic risks and opportunities that will impact program financials while recommending cost reductions and ways to mitigate risk.
  • Responsible for financial performance of the program to include the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Monthly/Quarterly forecast and FP&A activities.
  • Month-end closings and variance/trend analyses
  • Cash management to Inventory analysis as well as timely submittal of invoices, collections, and unbilled reduction.
  • Deliverables: Estimate at Completion (EACs), Quarterly Financial Status Reviews (QFSR), monthly and quarterly business reviews (IPR), and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Pricing for on-contract growth.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline plus 8 years’ related program finance experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple contract types: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrid contracts.
  • Analytical, communication, and presentations skills needed.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) milestone contracts and cash/balance sheet forecasting.
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Leidos financial systems such as: CostPoint, Cognos, Fusion, and Insight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as: Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Manufacturing experience and experience with international business arrangements preferred.
  • Experience with Capex & Inventory accounting.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
