Responsibilities




Peraton is seeking a Senior Program Finance Manager to manage program finance and accounting responsibilities for a large business portfolio with substantial annual revenue within the Financial and Regulatory Business Unit.

    Lead a team of program financial analysts to meet daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting and finance deliverables and deadlines, including month-end close journal entries and variance analysis, forecast updates and analysis, annual budgeting process, client billing, reconciliations, prospective new business cost and price reviews, compliance, procurement activities, program management reviews, new contract start-up, and special projects as required.
  • Manages the activities of the program finance, cost control and program scheduling function in federal government contract environment.
  • Performs significant and complex financial analysis of budgets and forecasting schedules/models needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned programs.
  • Develops and maintains financial reporting and analysis systems to guide the financial management of individual programs and contracts to achieve company objectives.
  • Assesses program performance and tracks the performance against program budgets.
  • Acts as a key technical expert on and leads resolution of financial analysis issues.
  • Coordinates, negotiates, and resolves financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements.
  • Establishes and defines program plan requirements for assigned finance work.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental development of financial program plans and interfaces with vendors and customers as required.
  • Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met.
  • Provides reporting of key program metrics to senior management.
  • Partners with Operating Unit Senior Directors and Program Managers to drive improvement on all key financial metrics.





Qualifications




  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
  • CPA or MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in accounting and finance with direct management experience
  • Experience leading finance for a large program portfolio with substantial revenue. This position will require someone to manage a portfolio of ~40+ contracts
  • Prior experience in government contracting
  • Significant experience working with and communicating to Executive leaders
  • Advanced-level experience using Microsoft Excel, CostPoint/Deltek, and system reporting tools

Target Salary Range




$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
